This series of three posters was designed to encourage more neurodiverse people to participate in crafting and experience its benefits.

The first poster features a brain made from a variety of textiles and stitching techniques. The second shows the chemical structure of dopamine embroidered onto a hexagonal quilt. The third presents a pill used to help those with ADHD, embroidered using the cross-stitching technique. I created the “Crafting to Cope” typeface digitally, mimicking a crossstitch pattern.

This project started when I had to take a short break from my ADHD medication. All I could think was “I need something to do with my hands.” Crafting seemed like the obvious way forward, so I experimented with different ways of making type. This realised connection between ADHD and craft was what inspired the above posters.
